AGENCIES AMEND MISSION STATEMENTS

(May 2018) Eleven Arkansas state agencies have amended their mission or core value statements to advance the idea of efficiency in their operations, according to public records. The Efficiency Project, a Policy Foundation project made the recommendation in a 2016 report.
The departments are Assessment Coordination; Aeronautics; Community Correction; Correction; Emergency Management; Environmental Quality; Finance and Administration; State Bank; Agriculture; Education; and Workforce Services. The amended statements are listed as follows:

Vision: ACD’s vision is to continually seek improvement in the ad valorem tax system by efficiently and responsibly leveraging ACD resources to illuminate and simplify the Arkansas property tax system

Mission: "To efficiently promote a safe environment for pilots while improving airports to better serve Arkansas communities and industry in order to facilitate economic growth."
